Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "A. O. Whittemore, Havana, N.Y."

 

This is the work of A. O. Whittemore who potted in Havana from 1862-1893 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 72).

 

This beauty features the Pottery Stamp and a House with Ground Cover.  The house has a door, five windows, and two chimneys.  Stands 10 1/2" tall. 

 

Very Good Condition with Restoration.  Water glass staining inside and some staining outside, two 1/4" chips inside the rim, a 1" chip outside the rim in the back, and restoration for chips on the rim above the pottery stamp (closeup). No base chips, hairlines, or cracks.
