Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this uncommon Blue and White Spongeware Wash Bowl made and stamped on the bottom by the "Burford Bros., E.L.O."
 
This is the mark of the Burford Brothers of East Liverpool, Ohio. 
 
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty sports the Distinctive Sponging of the Burford Factory.  Looks like Jackson Pollock got his inspiration here!  Dark cobalt on a white background for strong and pleasing contrast.  Measures 4 3/4" tall and 14 1/2" wide across the top.
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
