Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Spongeware Cuspidor Spittoon in the Pillbox Shape.  
 
This is the larger public size for Hotel or Saloon Size.  
 
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features Blue Sponging on a Creamy White Glaze.  Measures 5" tall and 8 1/2" wide.
 
Excellent Condition.  A single 1/4" chip on the base.  That's it!  No other chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Some manufacturing imperfections to include glaze skips, a salt drip, and a spot of roughness on the base edge-- all in the making.
