    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this most unusual Blue and White Spongeware Platter.

     

    Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features Rounded Corners with an Molded Floral Decoration (Lily?) in Each Corner, and Rich Cobalt Sponging.  Measures 12 1/2" long and 9 1/4" wide.

     

    This is the only example of a platter in this pattern that I have ever seen.

     

    Excellent Condition.  Modest utencil marks.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
