Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Spongeware Pillbox Cuspidor.
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features the Pillbox Form with Slightly Flared Rim and Blue and White Sponging. Measures 5 1/2" tall and 10 1/2" wide across the top.
This larger size was used in hotels and other public buildings.
Excellent Condition. A stray 2" line on the top (closeup) and a 1/4" chip on the back at the bottom. Otherwise as made.
