Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Blue and White Spongeware Covered Soap Dish with Matching Lid.
 
Dating to the late 19th century, this beauty features a Base with Three Cobalt Stripes around the Middle and Rich Cobalt Sponging, as well as a Lid with the Same Stripes and a Pinwheel Pattern Around the Knob.  Measures 6 1/2" wide and 3" tall.  
 
Excellent Condition.  The base has a 1/4" flake inside. Otherwise as made.  The lid has a 1/4" chip and minor nibbles around the edge.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
