Coming to you from Doc's Crocks are these Two Jars with Cat and Canary.

They are the work of Jerry Beaumont who inscribed his cross, initials, and the date 1985 on the bottom of the larger jar, and a cross and Initials and date of 1979 on the bottom of the other.  In my humble opinion, Mr. Beaumont has been and continues to be one of the best contemporary potters in America today.  This work from York, Maine was some of his finest.

This larger jar features a Cat with a Wise and Kind Expression Sitting on Hooked Rug.  The decoration was created with a slip cup using vivid and bright cobalt.   Stands 7 5/8" tall.

The smaller jar features a Canary on a Branch also executed with bright cobalt.  Stands 5" tall.

You don't suppose the cat is planning to eat the canary?!  That would be rude!

Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
