Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "A. K. Ballard, Burlington, VT."
 
This is the mark of Alfred Ballard who ran the family pottery under this stamp from 1867-1874 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 46).
 
This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Fancy Bowtie Ribbon with Streamers.  The decoration was created with a slip cup in dark, bright, and shiny cobalt.  Stands 14 1/2" tall.   
 
Excellent Condition.  Three small chips on the sides of the spout (1/4" to 3/8").  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
