Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Cream Pot made by "A. Conrad, New Geneva, Fayette Co., PA."
Alexander Conrad ran the pottery in New Geneva from 1870-1882 before moving to Shinnston, WV (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 164-65).
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Small Size, Squared Rim, Rounded Sides, and Four Lines of Advertising with Leaf Accents. Dark cobalt was used throughout. Measures 8 1/4" tall and 7 3/4" wide across the top.
Good Condition. Some scattered small stains and a hairline on the underside that comes up 1" on one side and as a small T on the other (closeup). No chips or restoration.
