Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this little 1/2 Gallon Wax Sealer Canning Jar made by "A. Conrad, New Geneva, PA." 
 
Alexander Conrad ran the pottery in New Geneva from 1870-1882 before moving to Shinnston, WV (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 164-65).
 
Dating to the 1870's, this beauty features a Tooled Gooved Sealer Rim and the Company Advertising in a Paisley-Shaped Label Surrounding a Floral Sprig. Stands 8" tall. 
 
Very Good Condition.  Minor nibbles around the rim, two narrow chips on the bottom edge (3/8", 1"), and some staining from use.  No hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
