Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Wm. E. Warner, West Troy."

 

This is the mark of William E. Warner who ran a pottery in West Troy, N.Y. in the 1840's and 1850's (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 67-68). 

 

This beauty features the Impressed Pottery Stamp and the Warner Eagle with Dotted Wings Swooping Down with a Dotted Banner in its Mouth.  Stands 13" tall. 

 

Good Condition.  A narrow 1/4" chip on the left side of the spout, a half dozen small chips in the body, and wear to the left side.  No base chips,  hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
