Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this 5 Gallon Jar made by "Williams & Reppert, Greensboro, PA."
 
This is the work of William Williams and Thomas Reppert who worked together from 1880-1884 and again after 1890 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners , pp 157-58).  
 
This beauty features Top to Bottom Decoration.  From the top down are two straight stripes framing the rim, a wavy stripe flowing across the shoulder, the company advertising surrounding two dangling tulips, a freehand capacity number flanked by leaves, and a broad stripe at the bottom completing the decoration.  Stands 16 1/2" tall.
 
Good Condition.  Chips on both handles, a spider hairline on the back center, a 3 1/2" chip along the edge in the back, and staining from use.  No rim chips, cracks, or restoration.
