Item 11228
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare 4 Gallon Cream Pot with Spout made and Stamped by "W. Rooker, Easton, PA."
This is the work of William Rooker, Sr. who made pottery in Easton, Pennsylvania and vacinity from around 1877 to around 1899 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, p. 30).
This beauty is about the largest cream pot I have seen. It features a Pour Spout, Handles, Company Stamp with Cobalt Swipe, and a Brushed Cobalt Tulip Decoration. Measures 11 1/2" tall and 12 1/2" wide across the top.
Very Good Condition. Two chips inside the rim (3/4", 1 1/4"), a tight 6" hairline below the right handle that wraps under 3" (closeup), a few light stains. No outer rim or base chips, cracks, or restoration.
