Item 3261
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Whites Utica."
This is a work of Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles, who ran the family pottery from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 69-70).
This beauty features the pottery stamp with cobalt wash and a Gorgeous Detailed Floral Bouquet Executed with a Slip Cup. The floral has a center stem with leaves on the left and a large rose on the right. Lots of dots and dashes complete the decoration. Pretty cobalt. Stands 16" tall.
Excellent Condition. A minor 1/4" flake at the base, and a few small and scattered stains from use. That's it! No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. What looks like a chip on the back bottom is in the making and glazed over.
