Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped "Whites Utica."

 

This is a mark of Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles, who ran the family pottery in Utica, N.Y. from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , pp. 70-71).

 

This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Pine Tree Created by a Single Pour of a Slip Cup.  Stands 10 3/4" tall.

 

Excellent Condition.  Staining on the top half and two small glaze flakes on the back at the bottom.  No spout chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
