Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and stamped by the "Hart Bro's, Fulton, N.Y."
This is the stamp of Charles Addison Hart and his brother, Elwyn Erskine Hart, who ran the family pottery in Fulton with this stamp from 1878 until 1892 when it was destroyed by fire (see William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 75).
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Bird on a Branch Decoration. Measures 10" tall adn 11" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. Traces of water glass staining inside. That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Some kiln hot spots in the making.
