Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "Whites Utica."

 

This is a work of Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles, who ran the family pottery from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 69-70).

 

This beauty features the Pottery Stamp and a Large Orchid Created with a Slip Cup.  The orchid has two striped leaves and a blossom with a dotted left side and striped right side.  Additional dots between the leaves and blossom.   The cobalt is exceptionally thick and textural.  Measures 9 1/2" tall and 10 1/2" wide across the top.  

 

Very Good Condition.  Four minor 1/8" nibbles inside the rim, eight small chips outside the rim (1/8" to 1/2"), a 1/2" chip under the left handle and 1/2" surface ping on the right handle, and four minor flakes on the bottom edge (under a 1/4").  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
