Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Whites, Utica."
This is the work of Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles who ran the Whites of Utica family pottery from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 70-71).
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and an Orchid Leaf Executed with a Slip Cup. Stands 11 1/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. A small 3/8" stain. Otherwise, as made!
