Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "White & Wood, Binghamton, N.Y."

This is the mark of Noah White of Whites Pottery in Utica, N.Y. who ran the satellite pottery in Binghamton, New York from 1848-1888.  He had a brief association with a mysterious man named Wood as reflected in this stamp (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 71).

This beauty features the pottery stamp and a Bird on an Orchid Branch Decoration.  The cobalt is strong, smooth, and shiny, and contrasts well with the light gray glaze.  Measures 10" tall and 10 1/2" wide across the top.

Excellent Condition. Three 1/3" chips inside the rim.  No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
