    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Little 1 Gallon Crock made and stamped by "Weston & Gregg, Ellenville, N.Y."

     

    This is the work of Daniel Weston who ran the pottery in Ellenville from 1849 to 1875, and James Gregg who worked for Daniel briefly starting in 1869. (William C. Ketchum, Jr., Potters and Potteries of New York State, 1650-1900, 2nd ed., pp. 140-142). 

     

    This beauty features a Small Size and the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash.  Measures 6 1/2" tall and 8" wide across the top.  

     

    Very Good Condition.  A small t-shaped ping on the rim by the right handle (closeup).  Otherwise as made.
