Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6 Quart Stoneware Crock made and stamped by the "West Troy NY Pottery."
This is the mark used by William Warner of West Troy (now Watervliet) from 1843 to 1871 (private research).
Dating to the mid-19th century, this beauty sports the Smaller 6 Quart Size, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Very Detailed Floral Created in Bright Cobalt using a Slip Cup. Measures 8" tall and 8 1/2" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. A couple fingertip-size stains on the right side. Otherwise, as made. Some slight stone bulges on the right side in the making.
