Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 5 Gallon Crock made and stamped by the "West Troy Pottery, N.Y."
This is the mark used by William Warner of West Troy (now Watervliet) used from 1843 to 1871 (private research)
Circa 1880, this beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Very Large and Exuberant Floral Decoration created with a Slip Cup and Brush combination. Stands 13" tall and 13" wide across the top.
Very Good Condition. Four chips inside the rim (1/8" to 1/2"), and two outside in the back ("3/8", 5/8"), chips along the bottom of the right handle, and a faint 3" hairline from the rim behind the left handle (closeup). No base chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
