Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 6 Quart Batter Jug made and stamped by the "West Troy, N.Y. Pottery."
This is the mark used by William Warner of West Troy (now Watervliet) from 1843 to 1871 (private research)
Circa 1880, this beauty sports the Pottery Stamp, a Rich Chocolate Brown Albany Slip Glaze, and the Original Bail Handle. Stands 10 3/8" tall
Very Good Condition. Six small chips on the rim (pinhead-size to 1/4"), two chips on the top of the spout (1/8", 1/2"), and a 1/4" flake on the right handle holder. No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
