Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Stoneware Jug made and stamped by the "Ottman Bro's & Co., Fort Edward, N.Y."
 
This is the stamp of William and Gilbert Ottman who ran the company from 1872-1892 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , p. 68).
 
This beauty sports a Large 3 Gallon Size, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Huge Freehand Rose with Leaves and Dots.  The decoration is 12" wide!  Lots of eye candy here!  Stands 16 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A minor 1/8" nibble on the very top of the spout, a flat 1/2" chip on the handle, some small glaze chips in the body (1/8" or so), and some light staining.  That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  
 
Would look marvelous on your hearth!
