Item 6073
Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this gorgeous 2 Gallon Jug with Bird on a Branch.
The decoration indicates that the jug was made by Samuel Brady and John J. Ryan who ran the pottery in Ellenville, N.Y. from 1878-1897 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 66).
This beauty features a Tall and Slender Form, and a Big Blue Bird on a Branch Decoration. The decoration is nicely drawn with rich and shiny cobalt on a clean glaze background for a strong contrast and visual appeal. Stands 14" tall.
Excellent Condition. A short stain run on the back. Otherwise as made. No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration. Very clean glaze.
