    Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wnderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by the "West Troy Pottery." 

     

    This is the mark used by William Warner of West Troy, New York (now Watervliet) from 1843 to 1871. 

     

    Circa 1870, this beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Folky Bird on a Branch Decoration.  Shiny cobalt.  Stands 13 3/4" tall. 

     

    Excellent Condition.  A few small stains.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  Some roughness and a 1/2" surface drying line on the left side of the spout where it touched another piece above it in the kiln in the making (closeup).
