Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this 1 Gallon Decorated Jug with Tulip.
The decoration indicates that this is the work of Madison Woodruff who ran the pottery in Cortland, New York from 1849-1885 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 71).
This beauty sports a Brushed Cobalt Tulip in Bright Cobalt. Overglazed in the making. Stands 11 1/4" tall.
Excellent Condition. A 1/4" chip on top of the spout. No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
