Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Unique 3 Gallon Stoneware Jug made for "C. Person's Sons, Buffalo, New York.  
 
Persons' were liquor dealers in Buffalo.
 
Circa 1900 to 1920, this beauty features the Company Advertising on the Front and, quite surprisingly, a Freehand Bird on a Branch Decoration on the Back!   Looks like a day the old decorator from 30 year before stopped by the pottery to show them he still had it!  The bird is under the glaze and original to the jug.  Stands 16" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A minor 1/8" nibble on the left side of the spout, and some small chips along the front bottom edge and one on the back bottom edge.  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
