Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Stoneware Jug made and stamped by "T. Harrington, Lyons." 
 
This is the work of Thompson Harrington who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1852 to 1872 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 73-74).
 
This beauty sports a Brushed Cobalt Capacity Number "3",  Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Three Leaf Orchid Blossom on a Stem.  Brilliant cobalt as we expect from Harrington decoration.   Stands 16 1/2" tall.    
 
Very Good Condition.  Glaze wear near the bottom of the left and right sides.  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
