Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Decorated Batter Jug.
The decoration clearly indicates that it was made by Nathan Clark, Jr. of Athens, N.Y. who ran the family pottery from 1843-1891 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 66).
This beauty sports a Brushed Cobalt Floral under the Pouring Spout, and the Original Handle. Stands 8 1/2" tall.
Very Good Condition. A 3/8" chip on the rim. a 2 3/4" hairline from the rim in the back (closeup), a 3/8" chip under the handle in the back, and minor nibbles around the base. No inner rim chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
