Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Merchant Jug made for "Schuchardt & Fulmer, Utica, N.Y."
 
It was made by Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles, who ran the family pottery in Utica from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 69-70).
 
This beauty features the Company Advertising in Bold Cobalt Lettering. Some salt drips from the making for added character. Stands 13 1/2" tall. 
 
An uncommon Utica merchant jug. 
 
Very Good Conditon.  A chip on the spout as shown in the closeup.  Otherwise as made.
