Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 1/2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Satterlee & Mory, Fort Edward, N.Y."
 
This is the stamp of George Satterlee and Michael Mory who ran this pottery together from 1859-1885 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 68).
 
This beauty sports the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Large Brushed Cobalt Bird on a Large Leaf Decoration.  Less common maker and size. Stands 13" tall. 
 
Excellent Condition.  A narrow 1" chip on the back of the spout, possibly from separation in the making (closeup), and some light staining from use.   That's it!  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
