Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this early 2 Gallon Ovoid Cream Pot made and stamped by "S. H. Addington, Utica." 
 
This is the mark of Samuel H. Addington who ran the pottery in Utica, New York from 1830-1838 before he sold it to the famous Noah White (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 69). 
 
This beauty features the Early Ovoid Form with Tooled Tall Rim and Shoulder, Applied Handles, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Capacity Number "2" Cradled by a Brushed Cobalt Urn.  Measures 10 3/4" tall and 9 1/2" wide across the top. 
 
Excellent Condition. Faint water glass runs on the back. That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
