Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Ryan Brothers, Ellenville, N.Y."  
 
This is the work of James and John Ryan, brothers who worked together in Ellenville, N.Y. from 1875 to 1878 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 66). Not a mark you run across often. 
 
This beauty feattures the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and a Large, Elaborate Flower Blossom with 7 Petals and Inner Swirl Filled with Dots.  Stands 13 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A couple 1/4" chips on the bottom edge on the right side.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  Very clean example.
