Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Jug made and stamped by "Ryan Brothers, Ellenville, N.Y."  
 
This is the work of James and John Ryan, brothers who worked together in Ellenville, N.Y. from 1875 to 1878 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 66). 
 
This beauty features the Capacity Number and Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash and Two Brushed Cobalt Tulips with Three Petals Each.  Stands 13 1/2" tall.
 
Excellent Condition.  A couple 1/8" chips inside the spout and some light staining from use.  No outer spot or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  Narrow sliver chip on the edge of the spout in the making.
