Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Wax Sealer Canning Jar made by "Richey & Hamilton, Palatine, W. VA ."
 
Richey and Hamilton made pottery in Palatine (modern Fairmont) from around 1870-1890 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 100).
 
Dating around 1880, this beauty features the Tooled and Grooved Wax Sealer Rim and the Company Name and Address Across the Front in a Paisley Shape.  Stands 8 1/4" tall.
 
Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
