Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this rare Stovepipe Wax Sealer Canning Jar.  
 
It was  made around 1880 in Southwestern Pennsylvania--probably at either Greensboro or New Geneva.
 
It features the Stovepipe Form used in actual stoneware stovepipes, Tooled Rim, and a Fancy Stenciled Rosebush.  The stencil is very crisp and the cobalt thick enough to feel with your fingers.  Stands 6 3/4" tall.
 
I have only seen this stencil one or two other times. 
 
Excellent Condition. Three 1/8" nibbles on the inner rim, three narrow chips inside the outer rim (1/4" to 3/4"), and a 1/4" chip on the rim in the back.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
