Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Stoneware Butter Crock made for the merchants, "Prior & Wiliams."   
 
It was made and stamped by "J. Fisher, Lyons, N.Y."  This is the work of Jacob Fisher who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).
 
This beauty features a Great Small Size, Pottery Stamp, and the Merchant Names Inscribed on the Front in Script. Measures 5 3/4" tall and 6 1/2" wide across the top.   
 
Excellent Condition.  Minor nibbles in the glaze around the rim from use with a lid, and four 1/4" chip on the underside.  That's it!  No hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
