Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 3 Gallon Stoneware Crock made and Stamped by "N. A. White & Son, Utica, N.Y."
This is the work of Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles who ran the Whites of Utica family pottery from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware , pp. 70-71).
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, Stamped Capacity Number Cradled by a Wreath, and an Orchid with Two Blossoms and Four Buds. Vivid Cobalt. Measures 10 1/4" tall and 11 1/4" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. A couple stone pings inside in the making. That's it! No chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.
