Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Rare 1/2 Gallon Crock impressed "HARMON" three times around the outside.   

 

This is the work of Moses P. Harmon who made pottery in Greene County, Tennessee around 1877 to 1906.  This beauty was a part of the Carole Carpenter Wahler Collection.  It has a sticker on the bottom indicating that it was exhibited by her in the "Tennessee Turned, Earthenware and Stoneware Made in East Tennessee 1800-1900" exhibit at the Museum of East Tennessee History from May 16-October 30, 2011.  

 

This beauty features a Small Size, Flared Rim, and Pottery Name Coggled around the Middle Three Times in Large Letters (with N backward!).  Measures 6 1/2" tall and 6 3/4" wide across the top.

 

Very Good Condition. Glaze wear around the rim and base.  No hairlines, cracks, stains or restoration. Salt drip from the kiln on one side in the making.
