Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this unusual 2 Gallon Stoneware Jar made and stamped by "M. Tyler & Co., Albany."
This is the mark of Moses Tyler in Albany, New York from 1834 to 1847 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 67).
This beauty features a Tall and Narrow Form, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash Underscored with a 14" Cobalt Wreath, and a Cobalt Tulip. Stands 13" tall.
Very Good Condition. A couple minor nibbles on the bottom edge, and a star hairline on the bottom partially visible inside, with one arm up the right side 1 1/2". No rim chips, cracks, stains, or restoration.
