Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Jug made and stamped by "F. B. Norton & Co., Worcester, MA." 

 

This is the work of Frank Norton and Frederick Hancock who made stoneware in Worcester using this stamp from 1856-1868 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 52-53).  

 

This beauty features the Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Large Brushed Leaf in Bright Cobalt Blue.  Stands 11 3/8" tall. 

 

Excellent Condition.  A 1/4" flake on top of the spout and a price stain on the back at the bottom.  No base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
