Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Cream Pot made for the "L. H. Yeager & Co., Allentown, PA."
The Yeager company was founded in 1889 and changed ownership in 1916. It was a crockery and chinaware factory. This little cream pot was made to advertise the company.
This little pot has all the indicators that it was made by James Ryan who potted in Pittston, PA from 1891-1911 (Phil Shaltenbrand, Big Ware Turners, pp. 36-37).
This beauty features the a Semi-Squared Rim, Tooled Shoulder, Applied Handles, Company Advertising on the Front with Cobalt Wash, and a Large Brushed Cobalt Tulip. The tulip has 8 leaves and a blossom with 3 petals. Measures 6 3/4" tall and 8 1/2" wide across the top.
Good Condition. Staining inside at the bottom, and two 1 1/2" hairlines from the rim-- front and back to the left (closeups). No chips, cracks, outer stains, or restoration.
