Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this Wonderful Mug Signed by the Noted Potter, Everette Busbee.

 

Everette Busbee (1943-2020) was a Renaissance man with degrees in English, zoology, art, and ceramics.  He was most active in making pottery in the mid-to-late 1980's. He is known for wood-fired stoneware and low-fired earthenware.  His pottery is found in both simple earth tones and in brightly colored pieces inspired by Spanish pottery of the Renaissance.  His pottery is found in the New Orleans Museum of Art; Gardiner Museum, Toronto; Scripps College, Claremont, CA; Nora Eccles Harrison Museum  of Art, Logan, UT; San Angelo Museum of Fine Art, TX; and the Kamm Teapot Foundation, Statesville, NC.

This mug recently emerged from a very long time in storage.  It features a creamy glaze with a Handpainted "Tazmanian Devil" Running around the Middle.  Stripes composed of triangles circle the rim, shoulder, and one side of the handle.  It is signed on the bottom by the potter.  Stands 6 3/4" tall. 

 

Exceptional Condition.  As made.  No damage of any kind.
