Item 12362

Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1/2 Gallon Carriage Jug.  It is designed to be short and squatty so as not to tip over in a carriage or wagon.

It was made and impressed for the grocery merchant "Harry R. Miller, Grocer, No. 179 South St. N.Y."

Dating to the mid-19th century, this beauty features the Wagon or Carriage Form, Albany Slip Glaze, and Three Lines of Impressed Advertising.  Stands 8 3/8" tall.

Very Good Condition.  Two chips on the shoulder below the handle (1/4", 1/2").  That's it!  No spout or base chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration.  A scratch in the impressed lettering and a couple glaze skips on the right side-- all in the making.

Ships double-boxed, insured, and FREE
