Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Jug made for the merchant, "W. H. McGarvey & C., Wholesale Dealers in Wines & Liquors, Utica, N.Y." 
 
It was made and stamped by Whites Utica.  This is the stamp of Nicholas White and his sons, William and Charles, who ran the White family pottery in Utica, N.Y. from 1865-1886 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp. 70-71).
 
This beauty features the Pottery Stamp and Five Lines of Block Cobalt Letter Advertising.  Stands 11 1/4" tall.  
 
Excellent Condition.  Some light water glass staining from use.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  The 1/2" chip on the bottom front to the left is in the making and glazed over.
