Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 1 Gallon Stoneware Ovoid Jar made and stamped by "M. Tyler, Albany."
This is the mark of Moses Tyler in Albany, New York from 1834 to 1847 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 67).
This beauty features an Early Ovoid Form, Pottery Stamp with Cobalt Wash, and a Brushed Cobalt Capacity Number and Tulip. Measures 9" tall and 7 1/2" wide across the top.
Excellent Condition. Two chips on the bottom edge (1/2", 3/4"). That's it! No rim chips, hairlines, cracks, stains, or restoration. Exceptionally clean.
