Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Preserve Jar stamped "Lyons."

This is the work of Jacob Fisher who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1872-1902 (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, p. 74).

This beauty features the Pottery Stamp, Capacity Number, and a Brushed Cobalt Tulip.  The tulip has 2 leaves and a blossom with three petals and seems to be singing a high note!  Measures 11 1/4" tall.

Excellent Condition.  A 1/2" chip inside the rim, a 1/4" chip on the left handle, and a few faint stain runs from use.   No outer rim or base chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.  The lid, which appears to be original, has a 3/4" chip on the side of the knob and three small chips on the top edge (1/8" to 1/4").
