Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful 2 Gallon Stoneware Presere Jar made and stamped "Lyons."

This is likely the work of Thompson Harrington who ran the pottery in Lyons from 1852 to 1872. (William Ketchum, Jr., American Stoneware, pp 73-74).

This beauty features the Pottery Stamp, Freehand Capacity Number, and a Large Floral with Dangling Blossom that Fills the Front.  The floral has 15 leaves and a flower resembling a bunch of grapes.  Strong and shiny cobalt too!  Stands 12" tall.

Excellent Condition.  Some minor glaze wear on the inner rim where a lid would sit, and some scattered light staining from use.  That's it!  No chips, hairlines, cracks, or restoration.
