Coming to you from Doc's Crocks is this wonderful Face or Grotesque Jug made and signed on the bottom by "Lanier Meaders" (1917-1998) of Mossy Creek, Georgia.   He is perhaps the most respected Southern folk potter of our time.

Purchased by the previous owner around 1985, this beauty features a Very Artistic Face with Stone Eyes and Five Stone Teeth.  Attractive variegated green ash glaze.  Stands 9" tall.
